Kraków – based opportunity with hybrid work model (2 days/week in the office).

As a Senior Python Developer, you will be working for our client, a global financial services organization undergoing a large-scale digital transformation to modernize their data and automation capabilities. The client is focused on leveraging advanced technologies to optimize internal processes and deliver smarter solutions across its global operations. In this role, you are joining a collaborative team environment and contributing to the design and implementation of automation tools and scalable data solutions that support strategic business initiatives. You will be closely involved in driving innovation through high-quality, production-grade Python applications and data pipelines.

Your main responsibilities: Identifying automation opportunities and designing end-to-end solutions

• Collaborating with stakeholders and users to gather technical and business requirements
• Coordinating with POD leads, product owners, and architects to align solution design
• Developing and maintaining scalable Python-based applications
• Implementing and managing data pipelines using PySpark and Apache Beam
• Creating solution designs using design thinking methodologies
• Embedding technical standards and mentoring team members in Python best practices
• Developing microservices following modern architectural patterns
• Automating CI/CD pipelines within a DevOps environment
• Ensuring code quality, testing, and documentation standards are consistently met

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• 10+ years of software development experience
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with Python (3.x)
• Experience with web frameworks such as Django or Flask
• Strong skills in designing scalable and robust software solutions
• Proficiency with PySpark and/or Apache Beam for stream processing
• Experience working in DevOps teams and automating deployment workflows
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and design patterns
• Ability to work independently on complex implementation tasks
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• A mindset of continuous improvement and agile thinking

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with beam runners like Apache Spark, Flink, or Google Cloud Dataflow
• Exposure to reporting/analytics tools like QlikSense or QlikView
• Background in financial services or regulated industries
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes
