As an SRE DevOps Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global leader in financial services, focused on enhancing developer efficiency through advanced internal tools. You will play a crucial role in leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) capabilities to streamline software development and deployment processes. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining high release cadences, achieving zero downtime, and fostering innovation in problem-solving within a collaborative team environment.

Your main responsibilities:

• Delivering daily changes to production environments
• Building and maintaining distributed containerized platforms
• Reviewing, designing, and re-engineering processes using new technologies
• Supporting knowledge sharing in GCP to enhance team skills
• Collaborating with a globally distributed team for continuous support and development
• Working with the development team and product owners to build business-oriented solutions
• Providing production support for day-to-day operations of developed products
• Developing and deploying tools for Continuous Integration, Delivery, and Deployment (CI/CD)
• Driving architectural decisions and working on cloud-native applications
• Using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform to manage and provision infrastructure

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD technologies and principles
• Expertise in platform and systems architecture, including containerization and cloud-native applications
• Proficiency in Jenkins, Bash, Linux
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• Experience with serverless models like CloudRun
• Strong skills in Bash scripting and knowledge of GitHub
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and related services (GKE, Cloud run, Cloud SQL)
• Strong understanding of technology layers in application landscapes
• Proven ability to triage issues under pressure and make priority judgments
• Technically inquisitive with a keen interest in modern engineering practices
• Fluent English

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with JVM tuning and performance optimization
• Proficiency in Java, Python
• Knowledge of REST architecture
• Understanding of clean code principles
