As a Vulnerability Scanning Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will be working for our client, a leading global bank, within the Cybersecurity Assessment and Testing (CSAT) function. In collaboration with global teams, you’ll contribute to identifying, capturing, and remediating security vulnerabilities across client’s estate. The focus is on delivering objective, independent expertise to manage information, technology, and cybersecurity risks effectively.

Your main responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled and on-demand infrastructure vulnerability scanning, assessments, and reporting
• Implement agent-based scanning and deploy agents in a large environment
• Triage and address issues arising from scanning and assessments
• Communicate analysis and validation of scan/assessment results to stakeholders
• Configure, maintain, and operate industry-standard vulnerability management tools
• Collaborate with global client’s teams and third-party service providers

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Understanding of security testing tools, vulnerability scanning, and exploit frameworks (e.g., Tenable, Qualys)
• Knowledge of Cloud platforms and vulnerability assessment approaches (Ali Cloud, AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Familiarity with industry frameworks and best practices: CIS Critical Security Controls, Threat Modelling, OWASP, NIST 800 Series
• Exposure to scripting or programming languages (Python, C+, PowerShell)
• Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Integrity, ethical values, and the ability to work collaboratively
• Resilience and a self-driven mindset to inform and drive change

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience in agent scanning and deploying agents in a large environment
• Knowledge of malware, emerging threats, attacks, and vulnerability management
• Understanding of operating systems, network protocols, and application development
