As a Risk and Compliance Data Modeler, you will be working for our client, a leading digital-first bank focused on delivering innovative banking services worldwide. Your role involves developing and maintaining data architecture standards to manage processes and systems efficiently. Collaborating with global business partners, you will design and build solutions using consistent service patterns for seamless global deployment. Your work will support and enhance ongoing development, simplifying complex data structures to ensure effective communication and data governance across the organization.
Your main responsibilities:
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of the Client Enterprise Logical Data Model
- Designing and maintaining application data models (logical and physical) for Risk and Compliance
- Providing expert consultancy on data modelling to engineering and architecture teams
- Producing conceptual data models and enterprise logical data models in consultation with domain experts
- Communicating complex data models effectively to diverse audiences
- Advocating for the value of data modelling and building stakeholder relationships
- Analyzing data using both forward and reverse engineering approaches
- Applying standard data modelling techniques to create normalized data models
- Understanding and implementing standard physical data representations like relational schemas, XML, and JSON
- Balancing data model design to optimize application performance
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Experience in producing conceptual and enterprise logical data models
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Comfort with ambiguity and strong problem-solving skills
- Stakeholder engagement skills for advocating data modelling value
- Expertise in producing logical and physical data models
- Ability to analyze data through various engineering approaches
- Knowledge of standard data modelling techniques
- Understanding of physical data representations and their impact on performance
- Ability to critique and challenge models, designs, and decisions
- Strong planning, organization, and time management skills
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Experience with industry models and frameworks like BIAN, IBM FSDM, and BDW
- Self-motivation and confidence to work independently
- An improvement mindset for continuous process enhancement
