As a Business Analyst, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution dedicated to enhancing its finance systems and supporting development across the European region. You will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, ensuring system accuracy, and facilitating changes within finance systems. This role involves collaborating with multiple stakeholders, including IT, Product Control, and Financial Reporting teams, to deliver efficient solutions and maintain effective controls.

Your main responsibilities:

• Analyzing and documenting business requirements
• Conducting impact analysis across downstream functions and systems
• Coordinating with IT to document and implement required changes
• Parametrizing the accounting rules engine
• Participating in small project/change deliveries
• Providing guidance and advice to customers as needed
• Partnering with IT for system updates and changes
• Maintaining and updating systems and process documentation
• Ensuring effective controls and quality assurance processes
• Supporting Financial Accounting and Reporting teams
• Collaborating with Application/Infrastructure Support Team during change releases
• Executing UAT test cases and deployment support for small changes

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Good knowledge of financial accounting and control with 2-3 years of experience
• Experience in participating in process improvements or implementation projects
• Strong understanding of financial systems
• Relevant university degree preferred
• Programming skills in SAS, Python, or SQL
• Knowledge of financial services and products
• Ability to work with people at all levels
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
• Adaptability to work within a changing environment
• Fluent English

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience in a UX designer role
• Hands-on API development experience for UI integration
• Knowledge of containerization and microservice architecture
• Experience with web application frameworks like Spring, Node.js, or Django
• Knowledge of financial risk management in the banking or financial industry
• Specific knowledge of the traded risk domain
• Familiarity with the client’s policies, processes, and procedures
