Data Quality Management Analyst (Tech Business Analyst)

As a Data Quality Management Analyst, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution, on a mission to elevate its Data Quality (DQ) team. This role is integral to our data refinery efforts, focusing on assessing and enhancing the data quality of critical internal systems. Utilizing tools such as BigQuery, Vertex AI, Looker Studio, and Python, you’ll predict and implement auto DQ rules, conduct root cause investigations, and drive remediation campaigns.

Your main responsibilities:

• Collaborating with data owners, engineers, and business users to define data quality standards
• Developing and automating data quality rules and checks using Google Cloud Platform tools
• Investigating data quality findings and proposing remediation activities
• Performing ad-hoc data quality analysis and impact assessments, including trend analysis and problem-solving
• Supporting assigned projects by facilitating discussions and monitoring progress
• Communicating data quality findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• 3+ years’ experience in a data-related role (e.g., tech business analyst, data management/modelling, data analyst)
• Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform Products (BigQuery, Vertex AI, Looker Studio) or similar platforms
• Optional proficiency in Python for ad-hoc projects
• Advanced analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to interpret large datasets and articulate complex issues concisely
• Strong listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience in financial services or related industries
• Familiarity with data governance principles and practices
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts
• Previous experience in driving data quality initiatives
• Certification in relevant data analytics or cloud computing technologies
