Senior DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution. The project focuses on the Wholesale Digital Team, aiming to automate and enhance developers’ efficiency through internal tool creation. Leveraging GCP capabilities in SDLC, the role emphasizes high release cadence and zero downtime.

Your main responsibilities:

• Delivering change to production daily
• Building and maintaining distributed containerized platforms
• Reviewing and re-engineering processes with new technologies
• Supporting knowledge sharing in GCP
• Collaborating with a globally distributed team
• Providing production support for ongoing products

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Hands-on experience in CICD principles
• Expertise in platform and systems architecture
• Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• Experience with serverless models like CloudRun
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, especially GCP (GKE, CloudRun, Cloud SQL)
• Proficiency in Jenkins, Bash, Linus
• Strong understanding of technology layers in application landscape, storage, OS, network, database, application
• Excellent communication and triage skills
• Agile/DevOps environment experience
• Fluent English

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Proficiency in Java and Python
• JVM tuning and diagnostic skills
• Knowledge of REST architecture
• Familiarity with Clean Code principles
• Making prompt and practical business decisions, even in times of ambiguity, considering various perspectives and taking responsibility for outcomes
