Financial Engineer

As a Financial Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution leading innovation in risk analytics within the banking sector. You’ll play a pivotal role in the accelerated development of prototypes that significantly impact risk analysis and measurement processes at the institution.

Your main responsibilities:

• Develop prototypes to enhance risk model consistency and streamline operational processes
• Foster innovation in risk measurement and modernize model development procedures
• Collaborate with the R&D unit to explore advanced methods for risk analytics
• Position the client as a leading research house in risk analytics modernization

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• 5+ years of experience building and testing applications professionally
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming (e.g., Java, C++, C# or Python) and mathematical programming (e.g., MATLAB)
• Strong knowledge of design patterns and testing principles
• An MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical field

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience in Agile development and continuous integration practices
• Familiarity with algorithms for processing large datasets (e.g., Map/Reduce)
• Knowledge of machine learning and pattern recognition techniques
• Experience with non-traditional database architectures (e.g., NoSQL)
