Krakow-based opportunity with the possibility to work 80% remotely!

As an IT Project Manager, you will work for our client, a leading global financial institution, overseeing technology projects critical to the organisation’s success. Currently, several migrations under the group migration program in Malta require efficient management. Your role will encompass managing project portfolios, steering committee presentations, and ensuring adherence to project governance standards.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Manage the project portfolio using budget planning tools
  • Organise meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and provide periodic updates
  • Present project progress comprehensively to the Steering Committee
  • Clearly define infrastructure goals and project delivery strategies
  • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining all necessary activities
  • Track milestones, tasks, dates, risks, issues, and prepare status reports
  • Forecast project expenditure and identify required team members
  • Record project plans concisely and clearly, including risk assessments
  • Evaluate and determine plan variance from project performance
  • Lead working groups and oversee project results to ensure quality standards are met
  • Collect and present performance information related to infrastructure projects
  • Identify potential concerns and their impact on associates, business, and stakeholders
  • Collaborate effectively with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather project requirements
  • Manage changes throughout the project, including schedule, scope, and team membership
  • Collaborate with infrastructure associates across business units and management levels
  • Identify and resolve project problems, presenting solutions to the local steering committee promptly

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT Project Management
  • Excellent knowledge of project lifecycles and demonstrated experience in business operations or IT roles
  • Strong understanding of how technology contributes to business value and customer satisfaction
  • Proven ability to build relationships rapidly with key stakeholders
  • Effective communication skills, translating IT concepts into business language
  • Commercial acumen with an understanding of the business usage of developed systems
  • Exceptional planning, organization, self-motivation, and initiative
  • Desire to make a difference, challenge the status quo, and enforce quality policies
  • Capability to adapt and collaborate within a dynamic, global environment
