As an IT Service Owner, you will be responsible for the ongoing supply and support of an IT Service and provides a single point of contact for any inquiries related to the provision of the service. From an organizational perspective, the ITSO must operate within the context of the previous and future IT Target Operating model. You will work for one of the world’s largest banking and financial services organizations, serving +40 million customers globally.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Incident Management
  • Attending Incident escalation & crisis calls for the services
  • Ensuring all business impacts are monitored throughout the incident lifecycle and any increase or decrease in the degradation is reported
  • Capacity Planning
  • Managing the day-to-day capacity and performance of the service. Conduct regular reviews of the metrics captured, and identify potential areas of constraint
  • Architectural Governance
  • Ensuring that service designs are progressed by solution architects through Decision Driven Design (agile) process
  • Ensuring that the design is approved via the appropriate Solution Architecture Board (SAB) by the solutions architect
  • Establishing business recovery and contingency requirements
  • Ensuring that IT Services are in compliance with the Global Service Continuity Standards
  • Access Control & Authorisation
  • Ensuring appropriate IT user system access controls are in place
  • Ensuring appropriate business system access controls are in place
  • Service Level Management
  • Providing the SLM team with Service details
  • Loading the service in PLADA with all its SLAs, terms and conditions, and service availability hours
  • Ensuring problem resolution within the agreed timeline (includes representation and follow-up with different teams)
  • Ensuring there is an appropriate, and adequate business representation for improvements, enhancements, and incident reviews
  • Operational Data & Config Management
  • Ensuring all new infrastructure components (hosts, databases, middleware) are modeled to an IT service
  • Configuration Management
  • Engaging with the Cyber Security team for changes made in the existing service as development to business application
  • Third-party hosted services
  • Application /infrastructure security testing
  • Support Audit review for IT and business systems.
  • Production privilege access monitoring and job log review
  • Compliance for all kinds of standards, like Cloud compliance, Key / Certificate renewal every year

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

  • Experience in:
    • Support of management information and technologies, with multiple teams, vendors, interfaces, and stakeholders involved
    • Agile Project methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence
    • Positive, challenging interactions with Senior Executives across the business
  • Good exposure to service management, which includes:
    • Communications capabilities
    • Decision-making and problem-solving skills
    • Lateral thinking
    • Analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Good understanding of the hybrid technology stack
  • Ability to direct and influence people in a matrix-orientated environment and establish working partnerships at a junior and senior organizational level
  • Good relationship management, collaboration, and influencing skills

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Good understanding of the control requirement surrounding data handling
