As a Senior Java Developer, you will work for our Client – one of the leading insurance groups in Central and Eastern Europe providing a wide range of products and services to individuals and businesses. The successful candidate will be working within one of the most important areas of the customers – with a system to calculate insurance.

Your main responsibilities: Develop and design a highly scalable insurance application

• Work with features created from scratch
• Study user requirements, develop specifications, design, code program, test and implement systems in line with Group standards and regulatory requirements
• Handle development/design projects
• Ensure thorough Unit test case coverage
• Follow all the best practices and quality processes of the project
• Work independently on the task assigned and if possible also train other team members on functional and technical topics
• Contribute to Code reviews and maintain the quality of the application

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Java Developer
• Experience in working with Microservices and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of the Spring/Spring Boot framework
• Knowledge of JMS/RabbitMQ queues
• Experience with databases: SQL and PL/SQL, Oracle
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies
• Architecture knowledge: Web services (REST), APIs & micro-services, Infrastructure knowledge
• DevOps principles & tools – Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment (Gitlab, Jenkins)
