Java Developer / Urban Mobility Engineer

Wroclaw-based opportunity with a possibility to work remotely 

As a Java Developer, you will be working for our Client, a software house that deals with implementations of dedicated IT solutions with different levels of complexity, starting from simple systems, such as a product comparison engine, to complex solutions such as a distributed e-customs support system. This is an opportunity to join a team that develops a smart and intuitive tech platform, which sets new standards for shared mobility by capturing customer behaviors and allocating cars based on data-driven decisions.

Your main responsibilities: developing modern solutions for an Austrian car-sharing market leader

• Developing software solutions for a car-sharing platform
• Participating in the design and implementation of essential applications and system integrations
• Demonstrating expertise and adding valuable input throughout the development life cycle
• Providing microservices dealing with invoicing and payment flow management in an existing project, incl. invoicing, corrections, billing, discounts, etc.
• Testing and debugging new applications
• Resolving reported issues and replying to queries in a timely manner
• Developing and utilizing technical change documentation
• Working within a Scrum team to ensure all features are scoped, developed, tested, and delivered on time
• Helping to improve code quality by implementing recommended best practices
• Remaining up to date on all current trends and industry developments
• Maintaining a high standard of work quality and encouraging others to do the same
• Identifying potential challenges and bottlenecks in order to address them proactively

As an ideal Candidate you have:

• 4 years of experience in backend technologies
• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring, Groovy, SQL Server
• Experience in Spring, Spring Security, Spring Boot
• Experience in creating/implementing microservices
• Experience with the implementation of payments: invoicing, payment provider integration, billing, multi-currency, pre-paid, and post-paid is a strong plus
• Experience in working directly with the client
• Responsibility and readiness to create new solutions in line with the adopted process
• Ability to solve problems independently, ease of learning new technologies
• Ability to work effectively in a multi-person team
• Higher education
• Fluent Polish and English
