As a Java Engineer, you will be working for our client, a prominent financial institution, on a cutting-edge project to design and implement end-to-end solutions. Your main responsibilities include designing and developing microservices, publishing RESTful APIs for real-time data consumption, and collaborating with architecture/engineering leads to ensure the implementation of quality solutions.

Your main responsibilities:

• Designing and developing microservices using approved patterns
• Publishing RESTful APIs for real-time data consumption with GCP BigQuery
• Collaborating with architecture/engineering leads to ensuring quality solutions and adherence to best practices
• Following Agile methodologies and DevOps processes throughout the software lifecycle
• Developing tools and services for DevOps environments, including automated deployment/configuration and continuous integration/build servers, performance monitoring, security monitoring and cloud resource creation scripts
• Developing a strong technical foundation in enabling agile build, release, and environment management
• Studying and implementing new tools for increased productivity, security, reliability, and performance

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• 4+ years of experience in large-scale software development
• Strong programming skills in SQL
• Strong experience in Apache Beam for writing distributed processing pipelines
• Strong working experience on Linux
• Working knowledge of building and managing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins
• Strong knowledge of Microservices architecture and patterns
• Experience with API gateways, Load balancing, etc.
• Strong skills in developing RESTful APIs
• Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud services
• Good experience with tools like Maven, Confluence, Jira, etc.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Java, Shell scripting, and Ansible experience
• Knowledge of other distributed processing frameworks like Apache Spark, Apache Flink, MapReduce, etc.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform
