As a Product Owner, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution, driving software delivery excellence in one of the Client’s departments. Your role will involve collaborating with stakeholders to define and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and client needs. You’ll facilitate communication between business and development teams, translate requirements into actionable user stories, and champion a customer-centric approach throughout the development lifecycle.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Define and prioritize the product backlog based on business value and strategic objectives
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and validate solutions
  • Manage stakeholders with conflicting requirements to ensure team goals are met
  • Act as the primary liaison between business and development teams
  • Translate business requirements into actionable user stories and technical specifications.
  • Ensure effective teamwork across the development lifecycle
  • Facilitate sprint planning and review sessions, focusing on delivering maximum value
  • Monitor software delivery progress and mitigate risks
  • Advocate for the needs of end-users and stakeholders throughout the development process
  • Drive continuous improvement in software delivery practices

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business, or related field
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner in Cybersecurity or financial services
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in defining and prioritizing product backlogs
  • Proficiency in Agile collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence
  • Good knowledge of ITIL methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Certification(s) such as CSPO or PSPO are desirable

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders with conflicting requirements
