Senior Cloud Solutions Architect

Warsaw-based with hybrid work model (2 days in the office/month).

As a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect, you will be working for our client, a leading company in online banking. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and configuring the corporate environment for their public cloud services on GCP (Landing Zone). You will plan and define the target configuration for migrated and newly created applications, consult with various teams on logical and corporate cloud architecture, and map business needs to specific cloud solutions. This role also involves estimating and optimizing cloud service costs, supporting GCP migration projects, and participating in knowledge transfer sessions.

Your main responsibilities: Plan and define the target configuration for the public cloud environment (Landing Zone)

• Consult with other teams on logical architecture and corporate cloud configuration
• Map business needs to specific cloud solutions, particularly PaaS
• Estimate and optimize costs for public cloud services
• Support migration projects to GCP
• Participate in knowledge transfer activities (workshops, presentations)

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Strong knowledge of GCP services and solutions, including Storage, Compute (Serverless), Networking, and DevOps
• Understanding of Cloud Native technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with public cloud services, their limitations, and designing their use to achieve technological or business goals
• Basic programming skills, a good understanding of IT infrastructure, and the ability to transform application needs into cloud services
• Knowledge of logical and physical application architecture and the application design process in a cloud environment
• Understanding of the billing models for cloud services and the ability to analyze costs during the design process
• Ability to define technical standards for public cloud environments and recommend new solutions based on trends and changes
• At least communicative proficiency in English for collaboration, reading, and creating documentation
• Experience in senior roles requiring the development and establishment of standards
• Interdisciplinary knowledge
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with other teams
• Understanding of systems and application architecture
• Excellent organizational skills and teamwork
• Experience in supporting the migration of on-premise solutions to the cloud

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Certification in GCP (e.g., CDL, ACE, PCA)
• Knowledge of GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform, Artifactory, Nexus, Prometheus, API
