Senior DevOps Engineer

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution, on building world-class platforms and services using Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role involves active development in a collaborative team setting, focusing on designing, delivering, and managing centralized cloud platform solutions. The project aims to solve common engineering and operational problems, enhance cloud environments for application deployment, and integrate cloud-hosted solutions with existing services.

Your main responsibilities:

• Designing and delivering centralized cloud platform solutions
• Building and managing cloud environments for application deployments
• Developing repeatable solutions using Infrastructure as Code methods
• Participating in code reviews and improving code standards
• Creating and maintaining application-specific AMIs
• Ensuring integration of cloud-hosted solutions with provided services
• Implementing monitoring, logging, and cost optimization strategies
• Collaborating with cross-functional development teams
• Ensuring security and compliance within cloud environments
• Using CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Strong understanding of and experience in a DevOps culture
• Proficiency in AWS (S3, EC2, VPC, Lambda)
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Istio
• Familiarity with Kafka architecture and APIs
• Skills in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub, Jenkins)
• Knowledge of security and compliance in cloud environments
• Ability to build and manage cloud environments
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Proficiency in Bash and Python scripting

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with AppDynamics, CloudWatch, DataDog, and Splunk
• Knowledge of CloudWatch Insights
• Understanding of bank-level security requirements
• Experience in developing and maintaining application-specific AMIs
• Skills in setting up Kafka for high availability and fault tolerance
