Warsaw-based opportunity with possibility to work remotely

As a Senior Java Developer you will work for our Client – The EU’s leading bank and key player on the international banking scene, operating in 72 countries. You will join a brand new, state-of-the-art, technology and development Hub created to bring together the strongest players in the IT market. The successful candidate will be responsible for synchronization of settlement data between various internal and external systems. Using a net of handful microservices with a dedicated UI we’re aiming to process millions of settlements spread across dozens of downstream systems, providing comfort to everyday operational work for bank users.

Your main responsibilities: Develop and build highly scalable credit application

• Study user requirement, develop specifications, design, code program, test and implement systems in line with Group standards and regulatory requirements
• Ensure thorough Unit test case coverage
• Perform Estimation and Planning and Proactive Status reporting to the management at both Paris/India and ISPL ends
• Follow all the best practices and quality process of the project
• Work independently on the task assigned and if possible also train other team members on functional and technical topics
• Contribute in Code reviews and maintaining the quality of the application
• Ensuring applications maintenance
• Refactoring

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Java Developer
• Past experience with Core Java V11-V17, Advanced java (JDBC, Memory management, Concurrency), Spring framework (Spring Boot 2-3)
• Knowledge of JPA (Hibernate)
• Knowledge of RDBMS (specifically SQL skills and optimisation in Oracle)
• Knowledge regarding communication using messaging
• Web communication: experience with REST, OpenAPI specifications (Swagger) and API First approach
• Good understanding of GIT, Maven
• Understanding microservice architecture, communication and development
• Understanding of SCRUM Workflow
• Understanding of Backend Security topics
• Excellent communication skills, highly developed soft skills
• Fluent English

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Banking experience
• Experience with OpenSearch, Kubernetes, Ansible
• Familiarity in building and deployment automation (Jenkins, Sonar)
• Experience in participating in a geographically distributed technical team
• Experience being involved in technical design
