As a Solution Architect, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution, specifically in the area of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) IT. You’ll play a crucial role in defining the technology vision and strategy, leading target architecture delivery, and ensuring alignment with Compliance and Client’s strategies. Your role involves collaborating with geographically dispersed teams, producing knowledge transfer documentation, and mitigating risks.

Your main responsibilities:

• Lead the definition and delivery of target architecture, identifying opportunities for simplification
• Enable GRC Business strategy through identifying, designing, and supporting key Technical Capabilities
• Ensure alignment of designs with architecture governance practices and related Compliance & Client Strategies
• Create and own architecture deliverables, coordinating solution design across teams
• Produce written and verbal knowledge transfer documentation for transitioning solutions to BAU ownership
• Understand the business context and organizational dynamics to minimize risks

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Strong technical and solution architecture background for effective communication with engineering teams
• Track record of owning and delivering solutions across the project delivery lifecycle with mixed shore resources
• Ability to communicate efficiently with business stakeholders, IT teams, peers, vendors, and client-side staff
• Familiarity with technology concepts, roles, and terminology, including API design and micro-service architectures
• Proficiency in codebase interrogation, particularly with Java and Spring Boot
• Fluent English

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Consultancy or customer-facing experiences within a software vendor or enterprise-scale services environment
• Financial services domain knowledge and experience in mobilizing technology to meet market dynamics
• Track record of successful refactoring or tech-debt remediation projects
• Experience in digital and broader architectural transformation, decomposing monolithic solutions, and managing technical debt
• Ability to translate customer journeys into technical design, leveraging API and micro-service architecture techniques
• Knowledge and understanding of enterprise-level software development and API-based integration, e.g., Spring, Kong
