IT Security Engineer

Work in a hybrid model, once a 3 weeks from Gdańsk!

As an IT Security Engineer for our client, you will be working for a leading company in the field of network infrastructure and telecommunications. The client is committed to ensuring robust security measures across their systems and networks. In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in safeguarding sensitive data and preventing security breaches. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining a secure environment for both internal and external stakeholders.

Your main responsibilities: Participate in the planning and design of enterprise security architecture

  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated trainings in IT security area
  • Respond to IT security incidents and related systems outages in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plans
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge in the IT security area and recommend additional security solutions or enhancements
  • Monitor all in-place security solutions for efficient and appropriate operations and participate in investigations into problematic activity
  • Provide support for end users for all in-place security solutions and practice infrastructure asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory
  • Prepare incident reports and provide guidance to junior members of the IT team

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science
  • At least 3 years equivalent work experience
  • Certification in IT security area will be an important additional advantage.
  • Strong communicative English required
  • Working technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems, current network hardware, protocols, and standards
  • Ability to operate network component analyzers, scanners, and testers
  • Understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives and knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in pressure situations
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with meticulous attention to detail
  • Working experience in a team-oriented, collaborative, and international environment
