Warsaw-based opportunity with hybrid work model.

As a Big Data Engineer, you will be working for our client, one of the leaders in online banking. Your primary responsibility will involve implementing and designing cutting-edge data processing systems and big data solutions in accordance with the Scrum process and client requirements.

Your main responsibilities: Implement and design modern data processing systems and big data solutions

Adhere to Scrum methodology and client requirements throughout the development process
Utilize Python, Scala, or Java for commercial projects
Implement and optimize Spark processes for effective data handling
Work with various data formats such as JSON, PARQUET, ORC, and AVRO
Understand different database types and usage scenarios, including Hive, Kudu, HBase, etc.
Possess advanced SQL skills for data manipulation and querying
Integrate data from multiple sources efficiently
Utilize tools like Maven for project/application development
Apply practical knowledge of CI/CD automation to streamline development processes

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

Minimum 5 years of experience in the IT industry
Understanding of Big Data concepts, Data Warehousing, and Data Management
Familiarity with Hadoop Cloudera/Hortonworks platforms
Strong grasp of best practices for processing large datasets
Commercial experience of at least 3 years in Python/Scala/Java
